Authenticity Is Documented

What Makes Wagyu Authentic

Authentic Japanese Wagyu must meet all of the following conditions:

Born and raised in Japan

Registered under the Japanese Wagyu traceability system

Graded by authorized Japanese grading bodies

Accompanied by official documentation

Correctly represented by origin and grade

Anything outside this framework is not Japanese Wagyu.

Protected Regional Names

Names such as Omi, Miyazaki, and Kobe represent protected regional identities. They are not marketing terms.

WAGYU.AE uses these names only when:

  • Certification permits
  • Origin is verified
  • Documentation supports the claim

Misuse of protected names damages trust, culture, and the industry itself. We do not participate in such practices.

Authenticity Is Governed, Not Marketed

In Japan, Wagyu authenticity is defined by governance, not appearance.

Official grading, individual identification, exporter licensing, veterinary oversight, and controlled distribution form the foundation of genuine Japanese Wagyu.

wagyu.ae operates within this system.

We do not rely on visual marbling alone, secondary-market sourcing, or undocumented supply.

wagyu.ae supplies Japanese Wagyu to professional kitchens, hospitality groups, and institutional buyers operating within regulated procurement frameworks across the UAE and GCC.

The GI Tag: Japan's Legal Guarantee

The Geographical Indication is not a label—it is a sovereign guarantee. Granted by Japan's Ministry of Agriculture, it protects the intellectual property and biological heritage of the nation's most prestigious beef brands.

The Elite Registry

Only a handful of regions possess the terroir and lineage required for GI status. We exclusively source from the pinnacle:

Kobe Beef

The world's most famous lineage; pure Tajima-gyu blood.

Omi Beef

Japan's oldest brand; a 400-year legacy of exceptional quality.

Miyazaki Beef

The reigning champion; winner of the Wagyu Olympics.

Why It Is Irreplaceable

Genetic Purity

Closed-herd lineages preserved for centuries.

Unique Melting Point

Fat that dissolves at 25°C—below human body temperature.

Artisan Tradition

Small-scale farmers who treat Wagyu as a craft, not a commodity.

Your Protection

The world is full of imitations. The GI Tag is your shield against counterfeit beef.

10-Digit Traceability

Every cut we serve is linked to a single animal's birth record.

The Red & Gold Mark

The only official symbol of authentic Japanese provenance.

Respect the origin. Demand the mark.
